Hey Dude, Where's My Color?", was produced in black and white only to emphasize the importance aspect of the pictorial problems simplified in black and white that we discussed mostly over our 20-year friendship. Color was rarely a topic of discussion as it was only used in his Sunday strips and was the last instructions for the work as it was given to the printers. Additionally I felt the black and white line work for "Salmon Breath" was so strong that it could stand alone on its own in print context.
