Hand signed by Tom Everhart "Bird of Paradise" by Tom Everhart is a fine art lithograph printed in 2002 under the supervision of master printers Raymond Mazza and senior pressman Juan Rodriguez. The edition size is limited to 350 plus 35 artist proofs and 5 personally dedicated proofs. The edition was printed on Coventry paper. Each sheet measures 26-1/2" x 35." The image size is the same.
The image was originally created by Tom Everhart as a painting on paper. Tom Everhart then collaborated with the chromist Jean Pierre Remond, of S2 Atelier, who, referring to the maquette, drew by hand the 16 separate plates from which this edition was pulled. One plate was drawn for each of the 16 colors. Proofs were approved by Everhart, after which the edition was pulled, one color at a time on an antique Dufa flat bed press. The plates used to create this edition were destroyed after the edition was pulled.
The edition is numbered 1/350 to 350/350; Artist Proofs are numbered AP 1/35 to 35/35. The S2 chop mark appears in the lower left-hand corner of each example. The artist, Tom Everhart, personally signed all examples in pen in the lower right-hand corner. There are no other examples in the edition except as described above.
