Peter Ellenshaw, whose artistic career spans more than six decades, is a renowned landscape artist, motion picture art director, Academy Award winning special effects artist and official Disney Legend. Starting his life as an auto mechanic at the age of 14, Peter Ellenshaw simultaneously developed his artistic talent by constantly painting and drawing. Discovered by Percy Day, Ellenshaw began working in animation studios moving to MGM for a short period and then settling at Disney. Ellenshaw's partnership at Disney lasted for 30 years earning him 5 Oscar nominations, winning for his work on Mary Poppins. Ellenshaw's work is represented in both public and private collections worldwide.
