Hand Signed by Alex Ross Created by DC Comics artist Alex Ross, Mythology: The Joker is the companion piece to Batman which is part of the Mythology series featuring Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and The Flash.
This is the first in a series of Mythology Villain portraits. There are plans for at least three more to be published.
The Joker's history extends back to the very first Batman comic book, which was published in Spring 1940.
Beyond the crime in Gotham the Joker is part of the Clown Prince has also paralyzed Barbara Gordon and murdered Jason Todd, who was the second Robin, both events which continue to affect Batman on a personal level.
As Ross has done with his other Mythology pieces, the Joker is rendered very close and dramatically, bringing him directly to the viewer. This image was created exclusively for Clampett Studio Collections and has never been previously published.
Each piece in the Mythology: Joker edition is hand signed by Alex Ross. Matching numbers are available until July 30th.
